2022 Presidential Elections: Rise of the far-right in France
The French presidential elections were conducted on 10 and 24 April 2022. Emmanuel Macron, representing the La République En Marche, created history by becoming the only president since Jacques Rene Chirac in 2002 to win a re-election bid.
